(Term 1 - Week 4)

Last Friday, Year 6 were invited to 'The Russetts' by the building company, Dandara. They took part in an energy efficiency scavenger hunt and were able to have a look around on of the show homes, identifying aspects of the homes that were energy efficient or were making the site more sustainable.

It was a great morning out.

Aboriginal Artwork 

To link with our topic of Australia in Geography, our task in Art this term has been to create our own piece of Aboriginal artwork. We kept the colour palette limited to mostly browns, oranges, reds and yellows to represent the colours of the Australian landscape. We looked at keeping the work abstract whilst including features such as trees, the sun, animal tracks and layers of rock. To create the dotted effect, we carefully used the end of our paintbrushes.
