From the Classroom

Term 2 History

Blue Class have made their own Shang Dynasty-inspired sculptures out of clay. In History this term, they have been learning about jade and bronze artefacts found in Lady Fu Hao's tomb and have done a great job at replicating with a different material!

Term 2 Computing

This term, Blue Class have been honing their word processing skills on Microsoft Word, creating stories, fact files and diary entries. Keep an eye out for any printed copies that come home!

Term 2 PE

Earlier this term, the weather forced us inside for PE so we decided to use the climbing frame in the hall! This was a great opportunity for children to practise their communication skills, balance and strength.

Term 1 Japanese Immersion Afternoon

Blue Class were joined by Chinami for an afternoon all about Japanese life to complete their Geography topic for this term. They practised using chopsticks, made ton ton sumo games, wrote ‘shodo’ symbols with special calligraphy kits, made origami kabuto helmets and learnt about koinobori flags and earthquakes. The class were eager to share lots lots of facts with Chinami from our Geography lessons! Thank you to Miss Anstee for organising this visit!

Term 1 Art

We have been researching David Hockney and using his work to inspire our own art. We have experimented with colouring pencil, oil pastel, paint, collage and have even made some digital art on Purple Mash!

Term 1 Science

Blue Class have begun their Forces topic by looking at gravity and air resistance. They had lots of fun getting involved with practical activities to demonstrate these forces.
