Starting School

If you decide, as I’m sure you will, that Hawkhurst Church of England Primary is the right school for your child, you will need to fill in the on-line admissions form which is available as a link below by the deadline shown.

KCC normally open the application process in November for the following September. Please refer to the Kent County Council Website for more details and an exact time applications can be made.

Pupils are admitted to our one form entry school in accordance with our Admissions Policy and places are allocated according to the following criteria :-

 

  • looked after children and previously looked after children
  • children who have an older brother or sister in the school at the time of admission
  • health and special access reasons - such claims will need to be supported by written evidence
  • nearness of children's home to the school

Enrolling your child with the school

If you have been offered a place at Hawkhurst for the new school year by Kent County Council then please proceed to complete our on-line admissions form so we can collect the required  information from you to allow your child to successfully enrol with the school.

Please ensure all information you provide is accurate and the form completed by the end of April. The same on-line form should be used for "in year transfers" from other schools, please liaise with the office for timescales. 

Note : the enrolment process for 2027 will open after 16th April.
