Nurture Week 1 - Year 5

Year 5 were asked to draw a Monarch butterfly. Some children weren't quite sure what one looked like and commented;

"I don't know what that is?"

"Is that a queen?"

When Miss. Hanson asked what would help them, their response was; 

"If we could see it?"

"A picture"

The class were then shown a picture but not given any guidance. 

They were asked if anything else could help them.

"Instructions!" 

"broken down into steps" 

The class were then given step-by-step instructions and a visual prompt so they could complete the task.
