Year 6 : Violet Class
Welcome to Violet Class – Year 6
Hello from Mrs Pearson
I joined Hawkhurst in 2019 as the Year 5 teacher and I am really excited to be taking Year 6 again this year. I have taught for over 15 years – mostly in Upper Key Stage 2 – and love the challenge of the curriculum at this end of the school! Although I have taught this year group many times, no two days (or two years) are ever the same and I particularly enjoy finding new and creative ways to teach a given topic. Some of my favourite subjects are Maths, History, Art and Languages but I also love sharing new books and stories with my class.
Outside of school I have my hands full with my own son, our dog Molly (who hates walking and would prefer to snooze all day) and our cat Lily. When the dog allows us to, we all enjoy walks in the neighbouring countryside, plenty of football in the park and I'm trying really hard to stay fit by doing early morning workouts when I can.
