Remembrance Day

Blue Class took some time out today to remember and reflect on those who gave their lives so we could have our freedom. They gave particular thought to how a soldier must have felt at the time, and what they would say to us now if they could. After observing the 2 minutes silence at 11:00, they constructed a collective poem, then wrote it out and placed it on some of their own artwork, which is now displayed outside the classroom.

Remember
Remember the living lives we lost,
In the wars of years gone by,
Remember the hatred and anger of our foes,
Which we felt too, with despair,
Remember how, with courage and pride,
We fought for your freedom,
Remember the broken bones,
Yet more broken hearts,
Remember our families,
All the loving children we never saw grow up,
Remember, so our victory was not in vain,
Remember us with hope in your hearts,
For a better future.
