School Council

/ School Council
The Romans

The School Council have been busy organising their priorities for 2019. They have chosen three charities to support:

The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust

https://www.cwmt.org.uk/

In 2018r Jenny Langley from CWMT came and spent the day working with Key Stage 2 talking about good mental health. She then went on to hold two meetings for parents and some staff training. She left us all with lots of ideas and practical tips to implement.

Ellenor

https://ellenor.org/

This is a charity that helps to support families facing terminal illness. They are a local provider of children’s hospice care and respite care for babies, children and young adults with palliative and life-threatening care needs. In addition they provide a specialist nursing service to children undergoing cancer treatment.

Hawkhurst Primary School

The children would like to raise money for the purchase of new equipment for the playground to be used at lunchtimes. They also agreed that they enjoyed the Royal Wedding celebrations last year and would love to have some sort of special day that we can all participate in again this year if we can raise enough funds.
