Hello from Mrs Elmes
Welcome to the Rainbow Class page. We get up to lots of exciting and interesting things at school and we have our own playground. Lets look at some of the things we have been doing recently.
FOREST SCHOOL continues to be a very popular way of hands-on learning about outdoor survival and the wonderful world of Nature. The children visit our Secret Garden, where
they can search for mini beasts, or they can safely explore the pond. They never harm any living thing, because they’re trying to learn about other things in our world. The children also
learn the safe use of tools like potato peelers and hacksaws.
THE RAINBOW FISH is an award-winning book written by Marcus Pfister. It is about a beautiful fish who finds friendship and happiness when he learns to share. We can all learn to try and do the same. The story also teaches us about the value of being an individual – about being ourselves. When we read a book or learn about a new subject we will spend some time writing and drawing pictures about it. Our work will then go on display in the classroom and around the school.
