We have had a busy and productive first half term in Red Class. As well as settling into the new routines and getting to know one another, we have learnt lots about our topic, Our Local Area. We have written two books, one based on Dogger and one based on The Shopping Basket, as well as a leaflet full of information about our school. We’ve become more fluent in our understanding of numbers to ten, especially representing them in words, pictures and numerals. We especially enjoyed going shopping in Hawkhurst, where we met some unexpected residents! We also loved becoming journalists for the day and finding out about Mrs Hacker for our school information leaflet.
During the next half term we will be continuing to learn about Our Local Area, with a focus on it’s history. We will also be busy preparing for The Nativity – watch this space for more news!
