Dear Parents and Carers,
In this, my final letter to you all, I would like to thank you for your support of the school and its staff and to wish you and your children health and happiness in your lives. I sincerely hope your children, who have received an education at Hawkhurst C.E. Primary School will take our school values out into the world with them. I hope that they will remember the fun times they have had at school and will develop resilience in the challenges of life.
Having been Headteacher of this school for more than 11 years I know that the staff have been incredible in their dedication and enthusiasm and have put the school foremost in their lives. I offer them all my thanks for their friendship and loyalty to the school.
Thank you to all of you who have given me some lovely leaving gifts, cards and good wishes, all of which I will treasure.
Violet Class, the Year 6 group, will say their farewells tomorrow at St Laurence Church during the Leavers’ Service at 1.30pm. All parents are invited to join us and the final dismissal will be from the church.
Good News! – thank you to all parents who returned the Parental Questionnaire which was entered into a prize draw for a free place at one of the after school Premier Sport Clubs next term. I am pleased to inform you that the winners were Luka Hewlett (KS2) and Ishaan Hargreaves- Kapur (KS1). Luka and Ishaan, please select your free place from the clubs on offer next term.
Parent Governor Election – the results of this election will be announced later today by text.
Final thanks – go to the Friends of Hawkhurst C.E. Primary School who have excelled with their ideas this year, given the children and adults so much fun, as well as raising a substantial amount of money for the school. The profit from the summer fair is around £800. A big thank you is well deserved. Please see the attached below for a message from the PTA.
On behalf of all the PTA we would like to thank you all for your support this year with our school events, whether it’s from helping us run an event, manning a stall, or attending an event and enjoying yourselves.
It has been a very busy year and lovely seeing the children enjoying themselves.
We are still working on our calendar, which has two more photos to be taken in September and then it will go off to the printers, ready to sell to you all in October/November time.
We would also like to wish Year 6 lots of happiness and success in their new schools.
Enjoy your summer holiday.
