Frosty Learning

Red Class have continued to learn more about cold climates. We received a letter in response to our “Found” posters. Inside was a book, Lost and Found. We thought that perhaps our penguin wasn’t lost, maybe it just wanted a friend like the penguin in the story. We learnt about Polar habitats and the five most important things that an animal needs to survive in its habitat, and then we used this knowledge to make dioramas of either the Arctic or the Antarctic. We also found out how Polar Bears and Penguins are adapted to their habitats. Why not ask us, we love to share our learning! We will bring our dioramas home when they are finished, but in the meantime have a look at the photographs! We were very excited when the weather here in Hawkhurst became cold and frosty and we explored the school grounds, observing the changes that the frost mad.
